Cooking with Thought Energy

I love to cook, always have. I was teased as a kid that when I get married the house will be my wife's but the kitchen will be mine.

Recently in a conversation with my kids one of them said "mom wants your recipe for tuna salad." And the other said something like "Mom's is good, but yours is the best." My first thought was "that's impossible, I make it different almost every time." Sometimes I use mustard, sometimes not; sometimes I use a bit of Worcestershire sauce, sometimes not, etc.

Then I thought about what I do put into my tuna salad each and every time I make it, other than Solid White Albacore in spring water, mayonnaise and chopped onion (sometimes red, sometimes brown, sometimes white). The common ingredient in every batch of tuna salad, in fact everything I cut, chop, prepare, cook or bake is my thoughts and feelings. I'm thinking about how much I love my kids, how much they enjoy the food I prepare, that I thoroughly enjoy cooking for the people I love, I enjoy getting compliments for what I made, etc. And of course other thoughts like "the noodles cook for 15 minutes, sauce heats up in 10, garlic toast is a quick 3 minutes DON'T LET IT BURN!, get the table set, fill the glasses, etc."

These good feelings and happy thoughts pass from me into the foods I'm preparing. The thought energy blends with the food's energy. You can taste the love and care I put into my foods. In a way, preparing and eating food is as much a physical process as it is an act of love.

Cooking is at once child's play and adult joy.
And cooking done with care is an act of love.
- Craig Claiborne

Over the years of learning and practicing cooking, metaphysics and energy work I've put together a short list of ideas to think about when working with food.

PLANNING AND PREPARATION

Focus your intent on what you want from the meal you are preparing. Is this a romantic meal? Think of how sensuous the meal will be. Think about how the night will go. (wink wink) Is the meal a holiday feast? Allow your warm and caring thoughts for your family flow from you into the sauces, potatoes, meats, veggies and the bread or cookie dough before baking. Even a routine nightly meal is a good time to imbue the foods with thoughts of love for your family. If you are eating alone, take a minute and put in some thoughts of love and care for yourself.

FRESH FROM THE GARDEN VS. STORE BOUGHT

As a child, every Sunday we went to my grandfather's for dinner. He grew apricots, figs, avocados, tomatoes, grapefruit, oranges, herbs and more. Eating from those plants was a wonderfully delicious experience. Food picked fresh from a garden a few minutes to a couple hours ago is the best tasting food I've ever eaten. It's just bursting with vitality and flavor. The taste excites the mouth like nothing else.

When growing your own foods you can put in your thought energy into nurturing the plant. I'm sure you've heard that talking to plants helps them grow and thrive. Sure plants will grow with water and fertilizer and children will grow with food and water. But a child, in fact anyone, will thrive and prosper with positive encouragement and a supportive environment. So will plants. When I had a garden I talked with my herbs all the time. Neighbors complimented my plants asking what special fertilizers I used, I'd tell them I talked with them.

USE WHOLE REAL FOODS

For some people, like me now-a-days, having a garden is not an option nor practical. So, I buy my fruits and vegetables at stores or farmers markets. I do my best to buy from the outer perimeter of the store, away from the packaged and process foods. Well, as much as possible. Real, unprocessed food tastes better than packaged and processed foods. I don't even need to mention all the chemicals used in processing packaged foods.

Although not grown in your garden, they are obviously more alive than the box or canned variety. Still, when preparing your foods, think of loving and caring thoughts about your loved ones and those thoughts will be served with your meal.

VEGETARIAN (Full-time/Part-time)

Think about this, what you eat is energy. Eat animals, you are eating animal energy. I've heard some people say "I didn't scratch and claw my way up the food chain, just to eat vegetables." Fine. But at least look into reducing your meat intake, try some vegetarian meals every once in awhile. I still eat meat, but significantly less than years ago. I often make vegetarian selections in restaurants or even choose a vegetarian restaurant. Don't knock it until you try it.

Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances
for survival of life on Earth as much as the
evolution to a vegetarian diet.
- Albert Einstein

ARRANGEMENT

Or as they rate on Iron Chef, presentation. Every restaurant I've worked in, always mentioned the importance of presentation of every plate as it leaves the kitchen. So take a moment to prepare the plates before seating. If you sit family style where everyone grabs their own serving from a community pot/platter/bowl, etc., then at least set an attractive table. A tablecloth, runner or small arrangement of flowers does wonders. (Hmmm, maybe I should start another blog on home decorating. Watch out Martha!)

I usually plate the food for my kids in the kitchen. While arranging the food, I like to use broccoli for ears, carrot sticks for hair or eyebrows, olives make nice eyes, mash potatoes piled in the center of the plate make a good nose. You get the idea. The idea is to put in a little thought that makes the meal something a little different, a little special. Something that says you put thought into preparation.

As deliberate creators, we spend time thinking about feeding our minds, visualizing our dreams and goals, who we want to be. I suggest we also think about what we eat and it's preparation to sustain our body as well as our minds. After all, we will be thinking when preparing the food anyway, might as well think of good, happy, loving thoughts.

How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For -by Bob Doyle

Recently I tried some other programs and techniques because of the good responses people seemed to be getting from practicing those tools. I believe that those tools work for them. I did go into those programs seeking to take my personal development up a notch. Now I'm back to what I call "the basics."

In reviewing the past couple of months of my life, I found the following article by Bob Doyle, one of the stars of the movie The Secret. So, I'm back with the Wealth Beyond Reason program and the practices that I followed months ago and feeling like I'm "back in the saddle again."

So I'm sharing this article with you and maybe you'll see a new or different approach to any personal development programs you are or have worked with in the past.

Following is Bob's article "How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For" Much success to you.

Dean

*************************************************

Do you ever wonder why great things happen to some people but not to you?

Do you ever read about people who have tried this or that product and had some incredible result, but when you try it, you don't get the same result?

Have you become a person who NOTHING seems to work for?

Maybe you've thought about trying the some new self-improvement package that sounds great, but you're just so tired of things not working for you.

Let's take a look at how you've gotten where you are and why these things might happen. First, at some point, you tried something - either based on a recommendation, a testimonial you read, or some other reason. Basically, you tried it based on someone else's positive experience. However, when you tried it, you did not get the same result so you made the assumption that it didn't work for you. But how true IS this? Often - VERY often - things work differently for different people, and it's a mistake to judge your life by comparing it with others. Perhaps you just needed more time. Maybe your circumstances are completely different! Regardless, however, you made up - you CREATED a Truth for yourself at that time, that truth being "This didn't work", although remember, that truth is based only on your surface comparison with someone else...and it really doesn't have anything to do with you, and what - in the cosmic scheme of things - is best for you. Those results you read about for that other person are what was right at that time for them, and that doesn't necessarily mean that NOW is the time for you and that it will happen to you the same way that it happened for them!

From then on, every thing else you try is then compared to that first experience, with the Truth in your mind being "Well, it didn't work that time...let's see if THIS works". So again you're comparing...and not really trying anything "purely" and on it's own merit without preconceived notions or judgements. You are already working against yourself! You may not yet automatically expect failure, but you have it as an option, and perhaps even a probability based on your previous experiences.

The more things you try with this mindset, the more you fortify this mindset - it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that "Nothing works for me". Before you know it, that is who you Become. The person you are about reaching your specific goals or trying this or that product or technology is "It works for others but never for me." Once you reach that place, it will most certainly become true for you.

So what do you do? How do you break out of this pattern? First, acknowledge how you got here...by comparing yourself or your results with other people who are really on a completely different path then you, although they may have been after similar results. Then create a new idea for yourself - give yourself permission to experience success on your own terms, without judging what happens based on other people or expectations set up by anyone other than yourself.

Once you believe that you deserve to succeed and that you CAN succeed and that you WILL succeed, your life will change. Whatever you try will work for you, because YOU define what "working" is - not somebody else! You set yourown timetable, you are relaxed, and non-judgement. Your infinite patience and lack of expectation based Externally, will work with you in very powerful ways and you will regain control over your destiny.

Waking Up Without An Alarm Clock

I woke up yesterday morning with the thought to write a post about waking up without an alarm clock. But I allowed my day to take me in different directions and didn't get to it...until now. Which happened to be after I was Stumbling and came across this post at Pick The Brain.

I've been waking up without an alarm clock for about two years. At the time I'd been comming across information about how we can condition ourselves by programming our subconsciousness just before going to sleep. I also heard about Lucid Dreaming, although I didn't spend much energy looking into it, I got the jest of it.

Additionally, I was always pretty good with time. I could tell the time by looking at the sun in the sky, within about 5-10 minutes. Indoors I could tell you within 10-15 minutes what time it is, without looking at a watch. In fact, throughout my entire life, I hardly ever wore a watch. I am and always have been very punctual. I respect other people's time and I'm sad to say I have little patient for people who are late, tardy and otherwise disrepectful of other's time.

So, I decided that I would try to wake up without an alarm clock. Besides, the "BLAAH, BLAAH, BLAAH" of the alarm buzzing was a bit of a jolt in the morning. For a time I used the radio wake me up, then I thought about what could be placed in my head while in that place between sleep and wakefullness. So, waking up with my own internal clock was something I would work on.

Here is how I started and developed my practice of waking without an alarm clock.

* No drugs or alcohol: I'm not being judgemental nor an anti-substance use commentator, it's just a fact that they effect you mentally and physically which can effect your ability to do this, or any other skill development. Besides when I had a couple of drinks before bed and tried this, I didn't wake as well as I did without the drinks...but who does!

* Physical preparation: I would spend 5-10 minutes doing some stretching to loosen up before going to bed. When I got into bed I'd lay comfortablly on my back, with my arms at my sides and hands on my belly. I'd do diaphragmatic breathing. ( Simple explaination, Wikipedia, Swamij.com )

* Mental preparation: When Diapragmaticly Breathing I'd think the following thoughts (affirmations) or other variations of:

I am relaxed and comfortable.
I sleep well.
I have a restful and relaxing night.
I awaken in the morning at 6:00 am (or whatever time you want) feeling relaxed and refreshed, ready to start my day.
I am looking forward to a great day.

* Visualization: See yourself waking up at 5:59 am. Fully awake, sitting up, looking at the clock and turning off the alarm switch since you are up and ready to begin your day.

Once in bed, the breathing, mental affirmtions and visualizations would take about 5-10 minutes before I'd be off in la-la-land. It does take some practice. Within a week, you'll be falling asleep in about 10 minutes. You'll be sleeping deeper and more relaxed.

Meditating before going to bed helps tremendously. If you already meditate before going to bed, you know how this improves your sleep.

* Variations: Where I live now, there are lots of trees and when Spring is here, the birds are back and their young are born and their early morning chirps, whistles and caws are a great natural sound to wake-up with. I include in my thoughts before slumber "I awaken to the beautiful sounds of nature waking up at sunrise."

Once I got use to waking up before the alarm would go off. I'd start to program myself to wake up earlier on my own 5, 10, 15 minutes before the alarm was set. I eventually stopped turning on the alarm. I do always wake up in time to get me (and when they are with me, my children) up and out the door. 99.9% of the time, I'm early or on-time for work, including breakfast, making lunch and transporation to school and work. Admittedly it's a bit more rushed on these days, but we make it.

I started to expand my thoughts during my sleep preparations. I figure if I can manifest things and situations to work in my favor, then I'll include my children. I've been adding thoughts and saying affirmations about my children sleeping better and waking easier in the morning. In the mornings I ask them how they slept they last night. They tell me good. The past couple of times, even told me, without me prompting this particular response, they sleep better in my home then elsewhere.

If you are looking to have a good day, it starts with a good night's sleep and the intention to have a good day. Let the first thing you hear in the morning be the sound of birds chirpping, the call of nature waking you up, your own dreams whispering in your ear to wake-up, not the "BLAAH, BLAAH, BLAAH" of an alarm clock.

Tips For Getting What You Want (part 2) Things

In this second installment of this series I'm giving suggestions on ways to get more of what you want.

In Bob Doyle's Wealth Beyond Reason (aff) program he strongly emphasises focusing on what you want. Not how to get what you want, not how much money you need to get what you want, but focus on what you want.

The simplified steps of using Law of Attraction are:

Be clear of what you want.
Visulaize what you want.
Take action.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about. Let's say you want a bicycle. Describe the type of bike you want, a blue 10 speed.

Then visualize and feel yourself riding the bicycle and the wind blowing through your hair. See yourself riding in the countryside with green grass, trees, etc. See yourself riding with your family or friend on a nice outing. Maybe you need the bike as transportation to work, then visualize yourself riding the bike to work. See the route you take to get to work. See yourself locking up the bike at work. See yourself putting the bike away when you get home.

Now, after the visualization, you need to take action to get that bike. You can go to a bike shop and look at bikes, test ride them. Rent a bike and go for a ride, all the while visualizing owning your own bike. Now you've solidified the feelings even more by actually living the dream. Maybe you don't own the bike yet, but you are adding energy to the visualization.

Continue taking action to get the bike. Ask yourself "what are the ways you can get a bike?" Buy one. Steal one. Find one. Have one given. Inherit one. Can you think of other ways?

You've set up the vibration of what you want, you've put it out to the universe. Now believe the circumstances are lining up. Here are some resources available to help you get what you want.

Before looking through these resources, keep in mind of what you want. Take the time each day to use one resource or use several resources during each week.

Local newpapers. Of course these are a major resource that have been around for centuries. I don't have any historical information about how long they have been used for giving away items or selling items at reduced cost over retail, but certianly they are one source of finding your desires.

Craigslist There are different craigslists for different cities. Once you find your city, you can look at ads for just about anything, jobs, real estate, places to rent, furniture, clothing, relationships, etc. You can post ads for items you want or items you are selling or giving away.

FreeCycle This is a new resource I just learned about. Unlike cragislist, this site is only for free items to be given away. You can post what you are giving away or you can post what you want to be given to you. It is preferred that your first post is to give away something and then to balance your posts to give away with posts for your requests.

eBay Of couse you'll need to buy something here. You can also post what you are looking for. I recently spent about four weeks bidding on some software I wanted. The seller was running 3 day auctions. I had a limit to how much I wanted to pay for this software with shipping and finally on New Years day I won the auction and actually paid less than any other previous auction and about $6.00 less than my maximum bid.

Business Cards / Calling Cards Ever see the bowl at a business or restaurant asking for your business card to win a free breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. 2007 was a good year for me using business cards. My card was drawn three times. More than all other times in past years. Getting cards is simple. Buy the blanks at any office supply location and print your own at home. Nothing fancy. I just print my own with my name, phone number and webaddress.

Here is an example of how I recently used Craigslist.

My kids are growing, like all kids do, and they need some more clothes. I could go buy new clothes, worry about how I'm going to pay for them. I could buy cheap by going to a major discount store, cheaper, but still an expense. I could go to a thrift store, cheaper still but also an expense. Hmmm, now what do I do?

I posted an ad in Craigslist and got offers of clothes from people all over San Diego County. I got more offers of clothes than I can use. Does it matter if these are new clothes? No. I don't allow myself to worry about not having new clothes for my kids. Heck, they either outgrow them quickly or wear them out from use. Besides, I give away lots of old clothes and stuff when they are no longer useful, so I figured there is stuff out there for me too.

By worring about these issues, then I set up resistance to attracting more into my life and that just slows the whole process down. I'm all about attracting positive experiences and in receiving so much generosity from the Universe I feel very blessed and grateful for the abundance that came into my life.

I hope these suggestions help you or inspire to think of other ways to get what you want.

“My GREAT 2008″

I have to tell you that 2008 was the best year ever. When I read Lyman's and Vickie's posts about their 2008 experience, I just had to share my joy and exuberance about how well this Law of Attraction stuff works when one keeps on working on themselves.

It all started on January 1. A piece of my mail was mis-sorted among the roommates I was living with at the time. When it was passed to me, it turns out to be a check from a restaurant survey I did sometime previous. WOW! What a great way to start the year.

Later that day, I won an eBay auction for a piece of software that I had been bidding on for the previous 3-4 weeks. I forgot I was even bidding on the item since I had the auto bidder running. It turns out that not only did I win, but the winning bid was the lowest in the past several weeks and even $6.00 less than my maximum bid. Another WOW experience to start the year.

The next several days I received a check in the mail, won stuff at work or online, got free tickets to the zoo, won a couple of hundred dollars at the lottery and in the casino and numerous other affirmations of my ability to manifest positive things in my life. All this and it was only January!

The rest of the year was absolutely amazing. Since then, my blog readership skyrocketed, I put together 3 commercial real estate deals and put the finishing touches on the business plan for my game store. I bought a 4 bedroom 3 bath house, complete with swimming pool, backyard BBQ area and outdoor fireplace. I took my kids on a 3 day land / 4 night sea Disney cruise in the Caribbean, took myself and my new girlfriend on a cruise, bought a hybrid SUV and so many other great things that happened my head is just spinning from all the excitement just remembering these experiences.

In 2008 I got in the best physical shape since my 20's. It seems I have more energy now, than I did in college when I involved with all the clubs and activities.

Most importantly, I dropped so much resistance, worry and fear. It was like taking off several layers of clothes. ( See my post I'm Looking Forward to Getting Unclothed. )

WOW! I am so looking forward to 2009.

Back to Basics: Quiet Time

Recently, I took a step back from all the activity I was involved in; blogging, personal development and businesses that I'm working on and realized I've spent less time on spiritual development. Meaning I've taken on a whole bunch of activities directed toward accomplishment and achievement on the physical plane and I lowered the amount of time I spent on spiritual development.

I, once again, came across the video of Dr. Wayne Dyer's Power of Intention and realized that my connection with Source got a bit rusty. (If you have already seen this, like I had, you might want to take a look at it again since it's come into your life.) :)

As we know, the Law of Attraction is a Universal Law. Something that applies everywhere, to eveyone, like gravity. We know that our emotions, what we feel, is a guide to what we are vibrating, therefore what we are attracting to in our lives. Sometimes we, like I referenced in my opening paragraph, get so involved into manifestation activities that only see those activities and sometimes forget about those others activities that connect us with Source, the Universe, or God(ess) if you prefer.

I'm refering to quiet time or meditation. What physical activity does for manifestion of our desires in this world, meditation does for manifestation in the spiritual world. It is a balance that is needed. Got to get both the spiritual world and physical world to work together.

During the summer months, I was much more in balance. I devoted fairly equal time to physical activites and spiritual activites. I then started to shift more into physical activites to speed up the process, but only found out that negelcting the spiritual activities not only hindered any growth I was making, but I ended up crashing again.

Crashing is a bit drastic of a term, we sometimes do that use drastic or overdramatized language to convey meaning. So, let's say I took some backsteps. :)

Anyway, I started making more time to sit. Not so much meditate, but sit quietly.

Examples:

1) I stopped going outside to eat my lunch and connecting with nature. Well, it was getting too hot for me, so I sat inside. I said to myself, "Well, since I'm in the coolness of inside, let's see what's on TV. Oh, goodie, "How It's Made" is on, that's educational." Loss of connection with nature/abundance. So now, I am going back outside to eat lunch and soak in the heat and appreciate the heat, welcome the heat, for the short period I'm outside. I stopped identifing with how miserable the heat is and welcomed it for it's part in the cycle of seasons.

2) I stopped reading blogs on personal development. Many people say that reading 10 minutes a day of a good book (or blogs) will help develop your mind because you are planting good thoughts in your minds garden. (Lifted from James Allen's excellent book As a Man Thinketh) Since I stopped reading "personal development" ideas (planting good seeds of thought) when I was working on business plans and reading business books, I was comming across some seeds of negitivity "beware of this', 'watch out for that'. Just little seeds of doubt and negativity that carried over into other areas of my life, not just business. What shook me out of this finally reading an email/subscription from Ed Mills' Evolving Times. He mentioned that he gets lot's of good lessions from reading other's blogs. I thought to myself "Dang it, Dean, you used to do this all the time. Get back to reading PD blogs, you always find something that strikes the right cord for the right situation."

In summary, take a balance approach to your life. Both spiritual and physical development. Make some quiet time, to sit and calm yourself. Connect with spirit, wether it is outside eating lunch, going for walks, or meditating. Reconnect with Source.

Also keep planting good thought seeds in your mind's garden. Read good books, blogs or The Good Book, whatever, just keep good thoughts going into your mind.

Blessed Be.

Back to Basics: Building Belief

This week I'm focusing on the basics of Law of Attraction for Beginners: Building Belief.

Here is some informtion for review:

See my Definition of Law of Attraction

See my definition of How Law of Attraction Works: Quantum Physics

Today's new post is meant to address the times when we doubt and get frustrated with things not manifesting. This happens when we are attached to the desire, we set-up ressitance and block ourselves from manifesting.

The million dollar home, the black Mercedes, the 200' yacht, traveling around the world for a year, etc. are all great things I can have. But sometimes I hear that little ego voice telling me, "Yeah right! How are you going to get that?" Then doubt creeps in and I once again see the lack in my life. Crash goes the belief system.

So, back to basics. Take little steps to build up the belief system.

The Parking Space Exercise:

How to get that parking spot close to the movie theater, the mall entrance, the stadium, etc. Parking spaces are easy because we are not so attached to the manifestation.

Since there is no attachment to making this happen, your life doesn't come to an end. So, you don't get the close parking spot, big whoop, you walk an extra 30'.

Before you leave one location: home, the office, a firend's house and you know where you are going; the mall, the grocery store, the movie theater, etc. sit for a moment or two and visualize your whole drive, each stop light, each turn and driving up to the parking spot you want. See the spot open for you as you approach. Feel yourself being excited that you get to park so close to entrance. Be appreciative of this close parking spot and thankful for the safe drive to the mall, the store, wherever. (I visualize the whole trip so that I can manifest the whole trip safely.)

I love doing this. The grocery store I frequent near my home has parking stalls right in front of the store. No crossing traffic, I mean right there at the front of the store. I visualize doing this almost all of the time. I say "almost" because sometimes after I pick-up my kids and heading home, I get more involved in talking with them than I do manifesting a parking spot. But even then, I do get a spot up front more times than not. I believe, because I'm use to finding a space up front most of the time anyway, I have a positive expectation that'll I get one each time I go shopping. When I don't get one, I just park and say "It's a nice walk to the store with my kids."

Remember the basics. Do the little steps that build up your confidence and expectations that you can do this.

What do you do to build your belief that Law of Attraction works for you?

5 Cliches to live the Law of Attraciton

I like cliches, sayings, adages, quotes and little pearls of wisdom. So, I spent sometime thinking of a few cliches that apply to my life using the Law of Attraction.

Stop and smell the flowers

I'm big on sensory experiences. (For example see The Most Important Part of Law of Attraction.) I figure that finding joy in the simplest things is what can keep me happy much of the time. Little joys and pleasures throughout the day help releive tension and release negitive energy.

One day, years ago, I decided to take this cliche litteraly and stopped to smell some roses I saw in someone's garden. I found that the sweet rosy smell filling my nose brought me a sense of calm. From then on, when walking through the neighborhood, I alway stop to smell the flowers I see. I love jasmine and gardenia. What's your favorite flower scent(s)?

A barrel of laughs

I find that one of the best ways to cleanse myself of negitive energy and a bad mood is to find someway to laugh. Whether it's watching a sitcom on TV, poping in a DVD or tape, talking with a friend, laughter has always brought up my vibrations. Even when I got so into wallowing in misery, I had to find a way to trudge through the negitivity and take action to make laughter a priority.

Life is just a bowl of cherries

Like cherries life is sometimes sweet, sometimes tart. The pits represent the hard times we sometimes encounter when going through life, but that is just part of the sweetness of the cherry.

Remember everything that you encounter in life is something you attracted. It's part of the experience. Sometimes sweet, sometimes tart.

For me I'd much rather have all the happiness and joy in life, but sometimes what I think I what comes to me is different than the way I expected it to manifest. Oh well.

Whatever floats your boat

Follow your passions. Do what makes you happy. Whether it's volunteering in a community project, at your children's school or extra curricular activities. Find whatever it is that makes you happy.

If you want to know more about what you want to be happy about, meditate. Or, just sit quietly and ask your higher self "what makes me happy?" "What else can I do to make me happy?" Waiting quitely for an answer that may come as images or a feeling. You might find it by opening a magazine that may show you something that inspires you to new endeavors.

Count your blessings

This is another way to say be grateful or show appreciation. Remember, that by genuinely appreciating what we DO have we are given more good things.

Focus attention of the good things, keep your vibrations high. What IS good in your life?

I keep a gratitude journal and write in it the good things that happen to me. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up of good vibes, I can open my journal and read an entry about when good things came into my life. This way, I remember that I do manifest good things and once again feel grateful for those good things that appeared in my life.

Can you think of any others cliches?

Review: Bob Doyle's Wealth Beyond Reason program by Boundless Living

Bob Doyle, one of the presenters in the movie The Secret, gained his reputation through his Wealth Beyond Reason book and program that are available through his company Boundless Living.

Like many of you, I first came across Bob Doyle through his appearance in the movie The Secret. In the process of researching who the presenters were, I read Bob's biography. I was attracted to his site and his speaking style which struck a cord with me. He seems very grounded, logical and honest. I too am a bit of a logical person and with this subject of Law of Attraction, and touching on metaphysics, understanding the science is very appealing to someone like me.

First there is a free level of membership at Wealth Beyond Reason. Once you get access to the free material and you find value in that, then you can do what I did and sign-up for the full program.

With the full Wealth Beyond Reason program you get several ebooks:

"Wealth Beyond Reason" by Bob Doyle

"A Happy Pocketful of Money" by David Cameron

"The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles
This is the book that inspired Rhonda Byrne to make The Secret.

"Spirtual Marketing" by Joe Vitale
Joe is another presenter in The Secret.

"Wealth Consciousness" by Roger Lanphear

"The Everyday 12 Point Lifesaver" by David Cameron

"Raising Humans" by David Cameron

"Introduction to Wealth Consciousness" audio seminar by Bob Doyle

The "Wealth Consciousness Meditation" by Boundless Living Audio

Some of these titles you may have already come across in other programs or on their own as printed material. Being a bit of an environmentalist I tend to like ebooks. Not only do they save paper, I send them to one of my webmail accounts so I can have access to them whenever I have time to read and I'm on someone else's computer. You can easily print these ebooks and have a hardcopy if you desire.

I signed up as a full program member of the Wealth Beyond Reason program from the beginning. There are different levels of sign-ups that allow more access to program components at different levels. I just started out as a full member. Bob does provide a 3 payment plan that I took advantage of and gave me full access from the beginning and spread my cost over three months. Very convenient.

One feature I really like about this program, it's a lifetime membership. I paid once and will have access to the website forever.

I find the site very easy to navigate. The sites' navbar is on the left and available on every page throughout.

The "Before You Begin" section at the top of the navbar gives you everything you need to start the program, including an introduction to the program, links to free software that you might need such as Adobe Acrobat Reader and WinAmp MP3 player, the ebooks to download, the audio MP3 programs, bonus material and a step-by-step process for manifestation and using the program. For beginning PC users, Bob explains how to download and save files. He explains how to copy to CDs. He even has recorded the information onto CDs if you'd rather save time and buy the prerecorded CDs.

The program includes audio Lectures, Follow-up Seminars, Coaching Seminars, Expert Interviews, an Introduction to EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique); Attraction Techniques; "Money Stuff" lectures; LoA Resources Library, Article Archive, Coaching Blog, a Mastermind Area forum, email archives, updates, and more.

Although I was already familiar with some information about the Law of Attraction from my previous metaphysical studies and from the movie The Secret, Bob's program really expanded and clarified the concepts for me helping me to be more mindful of my thoughts. I still go back and read the ebooks for a refresher and listen to the audios every once in awhile, just to get back to the basics. You got to do the basics. It all begins with the basics.

Bob does add new material from time to time. Really with so much information on the Wealth Beyond Reason site already, the "from time to time" is good enough for me since I do have plenty of other Law of Attraction material to read and write about.

Overall this is a great program. I made a connection with Bob Doyle through his Wealth Beyond Reason program and I do highly recommend this program to you. Check it out.

Please enjoy.

Answering the Question: What is Inspired Action?

There seems to be some confusion about the concept of creating or manifesting using principles of the Law of Attraction around the idea of taking action.

Some people, seem to believe that they are entitled to have: new cars, good homes, money given to them, basically something for nothing. Because of these beliefs of entitlement, when they hear teachers of the Law of Attraction tell them "think of it, feel it, visualize it and it will manifest in your lives," they think "Hey, I'm on easy street." Naturally, that will lead to disappointment and fosters the idea "this LoA stuff doesn't work."

Yes, instant manifestation can happen, and it often does.

In watching the movie The Secret we are taught that we need to take action. But what kind of action? Is this the kind of action that involves doing things unethically, maliciously, hurtfully? Hopefully not, that is contradictory of all the personal development we are studying and attracts "the like" into your life. Does this mean we go to work for a boss we don't like, engage in business or work we don't like just to make a buck or worse earn money for the sake of money. No, that takes away the joy and lowers our vibes. These actions set-up blocks and resistance to our manifestations and creations because of conflicts with our joy and happiness.

Then what kind of action do we engage in? Well, we follow our intuition, our "gut feeling", our hunches. We do what feels good and makes us happy. This is the "inspired action" talked about in The Secret. Inspired action is the type of action, that really moves one to do something.

Many people are not accustomed to listening to their inner voice or intuition or hunches. I've had numerous "gut feelings" and hunches, but doubting them or thinking logically about them and later, obviously in hindsight, see the course of action I THOUGHT about produced aless than desired outcome.

Can one sit at home and manifest what they want?

Good question. Sure you can. Here's the trick. Have full faith that whatever it is you want; without doubt, hesitation, or fear; WILL happen. For you couch potatoes, if you are sitting at home, never go out, think about how this will work. (I know, don't think about HOW the universe will provide, yadda, yadda, yadda.) Sitting in your La-Z-Boy, your desire is so strong, your visualisation is so clear, vibration so high, and with unshakable faith, that the universe is so enraptured with your desire that it has inspired others to: walk to your door or call your phone number or mail you what you want. It is great knowing that the hottest and sexiest person you could imagine knocks on your door and falls madly in love with you, just because you are sitting at home. Do you really believe that will happen?

Remember how magnets attract each other when they get close enough to each other. Well, this is where the inspired action comes in. To speed up the attraction process you need to be out and about where the universe has more opportunities to have your ideal partner "cross paths." The universe will send you feelings, thoughts, inklings, etc. to do something or be somewhere. Inspired action. Maybe you are inspired to go to the bookstore and get a coffee, go for a walk along the beach, go back to school, try a different restaurant or even attend a Law of Attraction workshop. :) All of these, and others, are possible places where you can meet your ideal partner.

Although the example above demonstrates a personal relationship, consider this can also be to meet a business partner, new client, some stranger who gives you a nugget of wisdom or even a new friend. You might find a new restaurant, a device or component for a project you are working on or come across an entry form for a contest to win a trip to your desired vacation spot and you have to enter to win.

In summary, get up, get out and be open to opportunities that present themselves to help you manifest your desires faster.

A List of Games to Play with Law of Attraction

I'm using the word 'game' for a couple of reasons 1) games are fun and can be exciting. Since the Law of Attraction is responding to your vibrations, and higher positive vibrations produce what we want faster, let's have fun by playing a game. :) 2) games are fun and can be exciting. 3) The Law of Attraction doesn't really know when you are really experiencing something or playing a game to raise your vibrations, so playing a game is a way to fool the Law of Attraction. LoA just sees and responds to your vibrations.

These game ideas have come from many sources. Many of which I don't recall the exact source where I orignally got it. I can say I got them from books that are in my "Suggested Reading" list, some ideas I got from friends and "Blogs I Enjoy Visiting" and others from my "Recommended eBooks and Programs" all these lists are in the right column. I'll be adding more to this list as a personal project.

Writing Games

Some people really like to write, such as bloggers. :) Some occasionally like to write, such as bloggers. :) Some do not even know what a writing instrument is. For those of you who like to write here are some games I've come across and use myself.

Appreciation/Gratitude Journal
I spend about 10 minutes a day writing about all the good things that happened during the day. I write about all the people, places and things that I'm grateful for in my life. I get really excited sometimes and that energy is "imprinted" into the words and paper that I'm writing on.

Scripting
Write a play or story of how you would like to live your life. Or, how you would like a particular event to happen, such as a job interview, a sales presentation, asking for a raise.

It is said that a story is never written, it is rewritten several times. By writing and rewriting with more clarity and detail, you are creating your desires stronger and clearer with each rewrite.

Write a Business Plan
Other than making good business sense for starting a business, you are also clarifying your desire for the business you are manifesting. Whatever business you are creating, your business plan details what you are doing, who your customers are, describe your employees (if appropriate), what is your product, how is it made, who are your suppliers. Whatever business you are putting together, this can be a fun way to manifest your desire.

Write a list of Constrasts of your Desire
Sometimes we don't know what we WANT, but we do know what we DON'T want. By writing about what we don't want, we then can indentify the opposite, what we DO want. Some might say, "but that is giving attention to what we don't want and the Law of Attraction will respond to that." The Law of Attraction does respond to what we vibrate and the more we focus, dwell, give attention to, etc. then that becomes an issue. By giving breif attention to what we don't want, we then can identify what we do want and have something that we can really get excited about and focus our attention on what we do want.

Action Games

Go Be, Do, or Have
Go visit places, luxury homes, car dealers, clothing stores. Because I'm playing this game, I'm really FEELING more of what it is like to have the car, the clothes and live in the luxury home. I can feel my excitment and thrill as I experience these during the game. WOW is all I can say. Try this one game more then another game and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Lottery Scratch off tickets
When I buy the California scratch-off tickets (only when inspiration nudges me too) and I do get a winning ticket, I keep the ticket. Why? Simple, winning is a great feeling and when I win, I have that excitement. If I redeem the ticket, that's it, the feeling is over. By keeping the winning ticket in my pocket, wallet, on my mirror, etc. each time I view the winning ticket I can relive the excitment of winning again. I also say "I am a lottery winner." An affirmative statement that is absolutely true and exciting again each time I say it. My high vibrations are relived again and again.

Sing a Song
Eventhough I was named after the crooner Dean Martin, my singing voice is something that needs work. However, I enjoy the action of singing to my songs that make my heart sing. Even when I'm feeling a bit on the low vibration side, I will sing a line or two of a song that has positive lyrics such as: "Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day" or "It's getting better all the time..." Just little reminders of how I want to be and feel.

Play with kids
Kids are just so full of joy and happiness that when they are at play I get such a boost of energy and vibrations get lifted I just feel good and free.

Speaking Games

"Hey guess what..."
Work with a friend, partner, co-worker who you can talk with each time something good happens. However big or small, however exciting or thrilling, talk to each other about how good this is, how exciting this is, talk it up, be excited. Be as happy for your work-out partner when they share with you as you would be if this was happening for you. (Remember we are all one anyway, so this is happening for you.)

Give your acceptance speech
One of the best ways to attract anything is to live as though it already is happening or has happened. By giving your acceptance speech, you are living in the moment that your accomplishment is real.

Remember a major key to manifestation is to be happy and joyful so do these games as long as you are happy and having fun.

Word tricks to help use the Law of Attraction

Words, both written and spoken, are a powerful force in our world. We have seen words used to take us to numerous wars, propel our species to the moon, and to sell toothpaste.

Words are the means to share ideas and concepts with others. We use words to show and express emotions (vibrations) "I love you" and "I hate you." Hopefully you are saying and hearing "I love you" more. Words are one step toward manifesting our realities.

Words also advance our knowledge. Since the written word we have advanced faster than by oral tradition. Written words preserve knowledge of one generation allowing following generation to build upon that foundation of knowlege.

Words have inspired armies, united people, villified opposing ideals and seperated races. What can words do to us as individuals, besides enticing us to buy toothpaste?

Words can build us up and tear us down just as easily as uniting a nation against a common enemy. Words can encourage us to grow or limit and hold us back from development. "I'm scared." "I can't." "I'm not worthy." Since words are one step in the manifestation of our reality, these words indicate we are stopped or limted. We need to be aware of the words we use on and about others as well as ourselves.

I want to share with you some tricks I've learned to help use words to raise your vibrations, help you feel better and your life more joyful.

I've learned these from many sources over the years. Some have more appeal to me at different times and better effects in different phases of my life than others, but all have a positive impact.

1. Make positive statements about what you want.

I think I came across this more from being a parent than I did in personal development. I've been using it with my children and I've seen wonderful results. When I've wanted the children to do, act or respond in a certian way, I'll ask or tell them what I want them to do.

For instance, instead of using the negative statements:

Don't hit your sister/brother.
Don't throw the ball in the house.
Don't slam the door.
Don't forget your lunch.
Don't run out into the street.

I'll use positive affirming statements of what I do want them to do:

Be nice to your sister/brother.
Go play outside.
Close the door quietly.
Remember to take your lunch.
Stop and look before you go out into the street to get the ball. Or, stay on the sidewalk to be safe.

I've shared this with friends who have children and they tell me it's done great things for their parent/child relationships as well. (I wonder how it'll work on adults?)

It took me some time to modify the way I spoke to the kids on a regular basis and sometimes an urgent need arises and I use a negitive phrased statement. As soon as I catch myself, I restate in the positive.

2. "The world is plotting to do great things for me today. I'm looking forward to seeing what they are."

I picked this up from Jack Canfield's "The Success Principles" CD. I've modified the statement on the CD, for me, this has a more positive impact. I start my day early. When I'm waking up and listening to my alarm clock go off I'll say this phrase. (I wake up to the trees full of birds chirpping, cawing, hooting, etc. as dawn approachs.) While laying in bed between slumber and wakefullness, I think this phrase and visulaize many good things that can happen, things I want to happen and feeling grateful for what is happening now and happened recently. Boy, are my days really good and getting better.

3. Affirmations and Allowing Statements

I use affirmations with some regularity. Some of the affirmations I fully and completely believe and can accept easily:

I'm a safe and cautious driver, I arrive at all my destinations on time and in a safe and efficient manner.

Some affirmations we use may cause conflict with our limiting beliefs we have and will nullify or reduce the effectiveness of the affirmation. I learned some tools from reading Michael Lozier's book "Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't" to neutralize the limiting beliefs we can add-on to an affirmation that hinder our growth.

Allowing statements on the other hand, are positive affirmations that our desires can be reached as eveidenced by examples and proof that others have accomplished the same goals or similar desires. By using third person examples, we avoid tagging our affirmations with a negative thought that reduces the effectiveness of the affirmation. For example:

"I earn $100,000.00 or more each year."

Sure, some people can easily find this a positive and exciting affirmation. Some still see the contrasting current situation and our ego creeps in and says something like "Oh, yeah, sure. Uh huh, what about this...and this...and this." These ad-on or tag-on statements nullify or reduce the effectiveness of the affirmation.

Allowing statements work differently.

"Every year, there are thousands of people who earn $100,000.00 or more each year."

Of course that is true. We can find evidence of this in news reports, magazine articles, on the internet, stories, etc. It's easy to get excited knowing that others have acheived this level of income. Why get excited about another's success, because jealously is a negitive emotion and emits negitive vibrations. Another example:

"Every day, there are people who are meeting their ideal partner for their life long happiness."

Get excited everytime you see couples walking hand-in-hand, kissing, hugging, etc. Seeing this, and desiring to have a more loving partner and healthy relationship go hand-in-hand to increase your vibrational level and help you visulaize you being in a relationship.

4. "I'm in the process of..."

Sometimes the conflict between current reality and our desires stops us. I've used this statement for years. Mostly when fighting off a cold or illness while building up my immune system. So, instead of saying "I'm sick" I'd say "I'm in the process of fighting off this cold, and I'm winning."

Now I'm using this with more deliberate use of attracting other desires.

5. Gratitude Journal and Recording Your Proof.

I've posted in this blog numerous times of my gratitude for experiences. That was done more sporadically when the feeling of gratitude for an exeptional experience was very high. Recently I've writing a gratitude journal nightly. Since then I'm feeling and experiencing a greater sense of happiness where ever I go. It appears to me that I'm more aware of the little things in my environment that make me smile and feel more grateful each day.

Additionally, I'm writing about all the things I see as signs of manifestations on the way or the actual manifestations. By recording these experieneces, I document proof that they are actually happening and comming into existance. Leaving this to memory is fine, for a short term, but the ongoing journaling makes for compelling evidence that good things are happening and in the process of becomming. Some examples, I was given a tour of a local Unity Center that a friend of mine goes to on a regular basis. While showing me some meeting rooms, we found a local Toastmasters club meets there and the person setting up is in Corporate Training and Development. Since I'm changing careers, this is a good sign that I experienced that I'm on the right track.

Well, I've shared several ideas with you about using words that can inspire and lift up your vibrations. There are plenty more that I'll share here and many more elsewhere to find.

Enjoy life more often.

How I Raise My Vibes: The High Vibes Game

This TAG game is interesting and fun. :)

I was doing some online reading tonight. I usually don't go online Friday nights since I watch the Sci-Fi channel. But tonight Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis are reruns, so...

Anyway, Cardin over at www.optimistlab.com started the High Vibes Game. I like to play games, they are fun and interesting. The High Vibes Game is fun for me, because it gives me something new and informative to post. Interesting because this game will help many readers gain access to a lot of good ideas on how to raise one's vibrations.

When I had this post completed, I was going to post an article of Vickie's from www.contemplatethis.com at High Vibe It, that is when I found out I had been TAGged for this game. Thanks Vickie for giving me my first TAG and raising my vibration. :)

Here are some of the activities I do to increase my vibrations. (In no particular order.)

Hang-out with and/or Talk with Friends

Since my friends and I are attracted to each other, we obviously have similar vibrations. We like to talk about high vibration topics; just laugh and have fun; enjoy life; or do other high vibration activites. Being with friends is where I can be totally free. No work behavioral requirements, no concern for political correctness, or need to comply with societal expectations.

Play with Children

Children are much closer to their True Source than many adults. So, they feelings of joy and happiness seem to be more honest and fulfilling. Their high vibrations of happiness and laughter are really quiet infectious. I love watching little children learning to use their body, practice drinking from a straw, learning to walk, playing with a bottle cap. What I really love most to do with little kids is play peek-a-boo. Especailly when it gets them laughing and giggling.

Go Outside

I'm fortunate enough that my work building is overlooking a canyon and nature preserve that is teaming with wildlife. I love going on walks and feeling the sun's warmth, the breeze moving up the canyon, hearing the birds chirpping, the wind rustling the trees and bushes. I truly feel in tune with nature's abundance.

Listen to Music

Long ago, listening to music that was what I wanted to hear took some effort. (vinal and tapes) Now-a-days, digital music makes listening to what you want, when you want it and in the order you want it is very kool. I've put together a playlist of uplifting and high vibrational music that really brings up and keeps up vibrations. I get a real kick out of the Universes messages when I just turn on the radio and find a really good song playing that fits the activity or experience I'm going through or just went through.

Appreciation

Today I have a much more thorough understanding of the value of appreciation. It was explained to me years ago, but the explaination in the movie The Secret really shed some new light. I'm talking about really feeling genuine appreciation. It's easy to say "I appreciate" this and that, but when I really feel it, wow, what a difference it feels like.

How to Develop Visualization: A Key Component to Goal Attainment and Manifestation

I’m sure we’ve all heard something to the effect that to attain your goals, to manifest your desires to accomplish great things, you need to visualize the object of your desire as already accomplished. Some people can do this easily, some of us put too much pressure on the need to visualize and manifest that this becomes a chore. It is also frustrating when we don’t "see" that which we desire. This article teaches a method to develop and build up your power of visualization, the ability to "see" with your mind. One week of this exercise is an incredible way to start and continue to build this skill.

Items you will need

An 8.5 x 11 inch piece of white construction paper, you remember from school, the thick paper we used to cut out things and glue to other pieces of paper.

A ruler
A soda can (or something round about the size of a soda can
A pen or marker for drawing lines and shapes
Scissors
You’ll also need 4 colors of either crayons, markers, pens something that will color the shape we are about to draw. It’ll be best to use the colors red, blue, green and yellow; however, if you prefer purple, cyan, periwinkle or some other color, feel free to use whatever colors work for you.

Preparation

Cut the white piece of construction paper into four (4) equal pieces.

Then draw on each piece of the four pieces of paper one of the following shapes: circle, square, triangle and a rectangle.

Then using your four coloring markers, pens, whatever, color each shape with a different color. For this exercise, use your preference what shape gets what color.

Now you have four pieces of white construction paper of equal size with a different colored geometrical shape drawn on each of the four pieces. Of course some of you are proficient enough with the computer to draw the images and print them out with your printer. Or, have your kids do this project for you.

There are other ways to accomplish the same end result for this exercise, but for brevity, I’m giving one process to make the cards themselves. You can make them by any process; the idea is to make this easy and simple.

The Visualization Exercise

Now get into a quite place where you can relax and be alone for about 10-15 minutes. You should be in a well lighted, but not too bright of a room.

You will now take one of the four pieces of paper with a colored shape on it and spend about a minute focusing all your vision and attention on that one piece of paper with the colored shape on it. Follow the edge of the shape with your eyes. Notice the contrasting colors of the paper, the line and the colored shape.

Do this for about a minute, then close your eyes and you will see this shape in your mind. Some people will see the image really quickly; some will spend more time practicing this exercise several times.

Now, do this with each of the 3 other pieces of paper and shapes. Look at the piece for about a minute, then close your eyes and view this in your mind for as long as you can.

Rest and repeat a couple of times.

Do this every day for a week. You will notice that your ability to maintain each colored shape will remain in your mind longer and become clearer the more you practice.

This project is purely an exercise in developing your power of visualization. There is no pressure or expectation to manifest a yellow triangle or green rectangle. This way you stay clear and focused on the exercise of developing your mental muscle and leave the expectations of manifestations outside while developing this skill

After your first week, then introduce a picture of one of your desires into the mix of cards. With the idea of this being an introduction and beginners process of manifestation start with a cup of coffee, or a new pair of shoes or a new bicycle.

The idea is to continue building up your visualization and retention of the images of the colored shapes for the second week and introduce real objects of your desire.

Emotional Freedom Technique: "It often works where nothing else will."

Since I've been working with the Law of Attraction, I've been doing a lot of reading and learning. I mentioned earlier, I've also done other reading and work in Personal Development and spiritual studies. But of all the techniques and processes I've come across, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has got to be the easiest and most practical technique available.

Emotional Freedom Technique was developed by Gary Craig. It utilizes the same concept of the accupuncture energy system of meridians within the body, but without the needles.

And it works on a lot of issues.

To quote from the EFT website:

Based on impressive new discoveries regarding the body's subtle energies, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) has been proven successful in thousands of clinical cases. It applies to just about every emotional, health and performance issue you can name and it often works where nothing else will.

In Chinese medicine there are energy lines or "meridians" throughout the body. The meridians are lines or channels of energy that flow throughout the body. There are both major and minor lines. The energy that flows through these meridians is our CHI or Lifeforce. The more and freer the energy flows, the more vitality of our life, the more in tune with our spirit side.

One way to think of these lines of energy is like a river. When unobstructed, the water flows swiftly through the banks of the river. Add dirt, rocks, trash and other debris then the river is blocked and the flow encounters resistance to free flowing. Likewise, when our meridians or energy lines get blocked with negative thoughts then the energy flow is restricted in our lives. Hence our disharmonious aspect of our life.

There are two components to using EFT. One is verbal to get us in tune with our emotional release and the other is physical to facilliate the process. The verbal component is a set-up phrase, to get your mind in tune with the emotional blockage within our system and a shorter reminder phrase as you go through the process. The physical component is tapping you finger on certian points of the face and body that help loosen or dislodge the blockage within the meridian.

Since I started using EFT, I've had an overall calm feeling about my life. I've used it to get rid of headaches, worry, relieve stress. EFT is being used by therapists and healers to accomplish many other reliefs as well such as back pain, anxiety, phobias and fears, it also helps some people to stop smoking and many more. It can even be used to implant or anchor in positive emotions.

Best of all, the EFT has a free website. There is a free introductory training manual to download and learn the basics, a free newsletter (sometimes I think the newsletter is too frequent) and for those who want to develop more of the skills with this wonderful technique I highly recommend getting the DVD packages: # 1 "The EFT Course" and # 6 "Borrowing Benefits". Additional DVD sets help therapists and other health practioners learn additional techniques for more specific issues.

At least check out the Emotional Freedom Technique website. You can get the free manual and subscribe to the newsletter by clicking here.
